Bloodborne pathogens can cause significant morbidity and mortality in professionals and the workforce who are commonly exposed to them in their professional settings. Standards like OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens exist to prevent such exposure. In this short course, we will see the usefulness of this standard in protecting such employees through various means, such as safety practices, engineering controls, and exposure control.
