Gerontology is the study of the social, cultural, psychological, cognitive and biological aspects of ageing. This gerontology course goes through these effects and explains the various laws and regulations relevant to elder care and the wellbeing of the aged. We establish the importance of mental health in old age. We then examine the roles, legal rights and responsibilities of workers in healthcare and care facilities or care for the aged.
