Desertification and land degradation threaten global food security and deplete our means of livelihood. Stakeholders must therefore implement land use strategies that prioritise the sustainable use and management of land resources. This course examines the principles of land use planning and management. We study the UK's laws governing land transactions and provide the best practices for soil, weed, land degradation and irrigation management.
