The complexity and diversity of student demands in today's educational systems can lead to an overloaded teacher who tries hard to teach but still discovers that some students are not mastering concepts at an acceptable level. Personalized learning is the goal of Adaptive Learning Systems (ALS), developed by combining AI software with portable, network-connected PCs. This course explores the complex ethical issues raised by ALS in education.
