This childcare and child psychology course discusses the basic principles, benefits and impact that playwork can have on childhood development. We examine the roles and responsibilities of playworkers in ensuring that children are provided with an inclusive learning environment in which to play. We lay out the enormous benefits that playwork provides in improving a child's mental health as they learn and acquire social and communication skills.
