In this module, you will be introduced to the working principle of an air conditioning system, the use of psychrometric charts in managing the AC system, as well as the comfort conditions to be maintained in an AC system. You will also be introduced to the reefer compressor used onboard a merchant's vessel, the various component parts in a reciprocating reefer compressor, as well as the functional components of a reefer plant.
