This child psychology course discusses the effects of childhood trauma and how to treat them. We explain how trauma affects a child's emotional, physical and mental development and describe the impacts of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We then establish the importance of play therapy and show you how to create safe spaces in which children can heal. We also trace the connections between developmental play therapy and mental health.
